This course provides an in-depth exploration of both traditional and Agile project management methodologies, integrating strategic project planning, execution techniques, and security automation principles. Students will learn how to effectively apply plan-driven and Agile approaches with a focus on aligning project management practices with business strategy. A key component of this course is its emphasis on Agile Portfolio Management, Lean Portfolio Management, and prioritization techniques such as Weighted Shortest Job First. The curriculum also includes practical insights into the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and its application in enterprise-level project management. Students will engage with real-world case studies and Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban to develop highly valued skills. To address critical security concerns in project management, the course integrates DevSecOps principles: security automation, compliance enforcement, and CI/CD pipeline risk mitigation. Students will gain hands-on experience with secure Agile execution strategies, learning how to incorporate security into iterative development cycles and maintain compliance with industry standards like NIST, HIPAA, and SOX. Additionally, the course prepares students for key industry certifications, including PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, and CAPM/PMP.
